Surf Shop Floor Staff Working at a surf shop really is as enjoyable as it sounds. For starters, the people you work with are some of the most down to earth and fun people you can imagine. Half of them surf like there’s no tomorrow, another quarter of them skate outside on their breaks, and then come snow season everybody runs for the mountains. To say the least, the people you will work with know how to have a good time. Being on the floor at a surf shop basically means doing any task that comes your way. The job has a lot of upsides, and you get to meet new people every day. Sometimes a brand “rep” (representative) comes in and hands out shirts to the whole shop, or maybe you’re lucky and the guy from Von Zipper hands you a brand-new pair of sunglasses just because he had an extra pair in the truck. Who You Are Matters

Intro Hello, my name is Jack, and I am from Orange County, specifically Newport Beach, California. I am going to work in the sports business industry one day... hopefully. For now, though, I am going to the mountains and making the best of online classes. I plan to get into sports business through an internship this summer; a couple of the top companies I have had my eye on are Fox Sports and the Los Angeles Dodgers largely because my dad was a previous employee of Fox Sports, and I have been a Dodger fan my entire life. As for getting to the mountains, I have already made plans for going up to Mammoth this weekend.  I believe I am like my parents in many ways, but one of the most noticeable, in my opinion, is my passion for baseball. Both my parents have been fans of the sport for years and it certainly made a large impact on the lives of me and my two brothers. I believe I am unlike my parents through my non-stop style of life.
